Gymnastics Hosts Hamline Tonight In WIAC Dual Meet

The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to host Hamline University at 7 p.m. tonight in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual meet. The Gusties enter with a 1-4 overall record and 1-2 mark in WIAC duals, while the Pipers are 1-4 overall and 1-1 in league dual meets.

Women’s Hockey Set For Bethel Series

The Gustavus women’s hockey team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a series against Bethel University this weekend. The Gusties (13-5-3, 9-2-3 MIAC) host the Royals (7-10-4, 4-6-4 MIAC) Friday evening at Don Roberts Ice Rink and travel to Blaine, Minn. Saturday afternoon.

Carpenter’s Career Performance Leads Women’s Basketball Past St. Olaf

The No. 16-ranked Gustavus women's basketball team was led by Kelsey Carpenter's (Sr., St. Peter, Minn.) career-high 31-point performance and record-tying eight three-point field goals to earn an 81-47 win at St. Olaf College Wednesday evening, improving its record to 21-1 overall and 14-1 MIAC.

Slow Start Leads To Men’s Basketball 72-56 Loss To St. Olaf

The Gustavus men’s basketball team got stuck in a rut offensively to start the first half and couldn’t recover in a 72-56 loss to St. Olaf Wednesday night at Gus Young Court. The loss moves the Gusties to 5-17 overall and 5-12 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Oles earn the series sweep, improving to 10-11 overall and 8-8 in the league.

Alhouni Named MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete Of The Week

Gustavus men's tennis player Mohanad Alhouni got off to a great start in 2017 as the Gusties opened against three nationally-ranked opponents. Alhouni went 2-1 in singles play, including a pair of straight-sets wins against nationally-ranked foes, and he also went 2-1 in doubles matches against No. 24 Whitman, No. 31 Pacific and No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer. Alhouni's singles wins were 6-4, 6-2, against Whitman's No. 40-ranked player, and 7-6, 6-1, against the nation's No. 38-ranked player from Pomona Pitzer.

No. 16 Women’s Hoops Begins Three-Game Road Slate At St. Olaf

The No. 16-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team starts a three-game road stretch Wednesday evening, heading to Northfield, Minn. to take on St. Olaf College. The 20-1 (13-1 MIAC) Gusties are set to tip off against the 7-14 (3-11 MIAC) Oles at 7 p.m.

Men’s Basketball Hosts St. Olaf Wednesday On Military Appreciation Night

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set to host St. Olaf at 7 p.m. Wednesday for Military Appreciation Night. All active duty military members and veterans will be admitted free to the game. The colors will be presented by the St. Peter American Legion Post #37 Color Guard.

Men’s Tennis Splits Two Matches ln Washington

The No. 20-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team fell 2-7 to No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer and won 7-2 against Pacific University Saturday on the campus of Whitman College to close out its first weekend of the 2017 spring season, moving its record to 1-2 overall.

Track & Field Competes At Ted Nelson Classic

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams Saturday competed at the Ted Nelson Classic, hosted by Minnesota State University-Mankato at the Myers Fieldhouse. The meet included 14 institutions from both NCAA Division II and Division III. The men's squad was highlighted by a four top-10 finishes, while the women received four top-10 places as well.
