Men’s Golf Remains In First At Twin Cities Classic After Round Two

Through two rounds at the Twin Cities Classic, the Gustavus men’s golf team remains in first place after shooting a 294 in the second round - which was played at the Elk River Golf Course - for a total of 577 (+6), which is three strokes ahead of Saint John’s and five ahead of the University of Manitoba.

Alhouni Claims Runner-Up At Drake Invitational

The Gustavus men's tennis team completed their first event of the fall campaign this weekend at the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa. Mohanad Alhouni (Jr., Tripoli, Libya) finished as the runner-up in the Flight 1 singles draw.

Men’s Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision At St. Thomas

The Gustavus men’s soccer team dropped a close 1-0 decision at St. Thomas on Saturday, falling to 1-7-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Tommies remain unbeaten at 7-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the league.

Volleyball Tops St. Kate’s In Four Sets

The Gustavus volleyball team claimed its 16th consecutive victory against a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Saturday afternoon, defeating St. Catherine in four sets 25-16, 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, improving to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in the league.

Women’s Golf Sits Well After Round One Of College City Challenge

HASTINGS, Minn. - The Gustavus women's golf team sits in third place after day one at the College City Challenge at Bellwood Oaks Golf Club, hosted by Carleton College. The Gusties shot a team score of 321 and sit one stroke behind Carleton and two strokes behind first place University of St. Thomas.

Football Comes Up Short In 42-40 Shootout At Hamline

The Gustavus and Hamline football teams battled to the bitter end Saturday afternoon at Klas Field, but a touchdown late in the fourth quarter by the host Pipers proved to be the difference in a 42-40 loss for the Gusties. The defeat snaps a 10-game winning streak against the Pipers and marked the first time since 1975 Gustavus lost a game after scoring at least 40 points. Gustavus moves to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Pipers remain unbeaten at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the league.

Men’s Golf Tied For First After Round One At Twin Cities Classic, Aunan Cards A 67

Alec Aunan (Jr., Rock Island, Ill.) shot a career-best round of 67 (-5) in the first round of the Twin Cities Classic on Saturday at The Links at Northfork, leading the field of 91 golfers. Aunan’s round of 67 is tied for the third lowest round in program history. The Gustavus men’s golf team shot a collective 283 (-5) and is tied for first place with Saint John’s, while the University of Manitoba is in third place with a 292 (+4).

Tommies Shut Out Women’s Soccer 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team fell by a score of 1-0 at the University of St. Thomas Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Gusties move to 1-2-0 in MIAC play and 4-2-2 overall, while St. Thomas remains undefeated with an overall record of 6-0-1.
