Women’s Basketball Hosts Gustavus Classic

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team hosts the Gustavus Class Tournament November 18-19, welcoming teams from Buena Vista University, the College of St. Scholastica, and Viterbo University. The Gusties take on St. Scholastica Friday at 6 p.m. and tip off against Viterbo at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Women’s Hockey Continues League Play Against Augsburg

The Gustavus women’s hockey team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend as they face off in a series against Augsburg College.

Women’s Basketball Downs Martin Luther In Season Opener, 82-50

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Martin Luther College by a score of 82-50 in the season opener Tuesday evening at Gus Young Court. The win marks the fourth consecutive season opening victory.

Don Roberts Celebration Of Life Service, 75th Season Celebration, Held Saturday

A celebration of life service in honor of legendary Gustavus men’s hockey coach Don Roberts will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Christ Chapel on the College campus. The service is open to the public, as Chaplain Brian Konkol will preside along with the preaching of Dr. Richard Elvee.

Nora Holtan Named AVCA First Team All-America

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 36th annual All-America teams for Division III on Tuesday and Gustavus star setter Nora Holtan (So., Rochester, Minn.) has been named to the First Team, while Lauren Hanson (So., Redwood Falls, Minn.) received Honorable Mention. The awards will be presented Nov. 16 at the NCAA Division III Women's National Championship banquet in Oshkosh, Wis., where the 2016 Division III AVCA Player of the Year will be announced.

Women’s Basketball Hosts Martin Luther In 2016-17 Season Opener

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team will open its 2016-17 campaign on Tuesday night as they host Martin Luther College.

Jordan Kahlow Named MIAC Football Defensive Player Of The Week

Gustavus sophomore defensive back Jordan Kahlow provided the spark that pulled the Gusties away for good in Saturday's 38-21 win at Carleton. With the score 24-21 in favor of Gustavus midway through the fourth quarter and the Knights driving into Gustavus territory, Kahlow intercepted a pass at midfield and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown. Kahlow finished the game with the pick-six and four tackles. He finished the season with two interceptions returned for touchdowns and his 96 interception return yards are the most in the MIAC. He also ranked second on the team with 50 tackles and had four pass breakups.

Men’s Hockey Swept By St. Thomas

The Gustavus men’s hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision at the University of St. Thomas on Saturday, falling to 1-4-1 overall and 0-2 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Tommies improve to 3-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Swimming & Diving Competes At Morningside’s Mustang Invite

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming teams competed at the Mustang Invitational at Morningside College on Saturday. The women took third place out of eight teams, while the men took fourth place out of five teams. Augustana University won the women’s competition, while Iowa Central Community College won the men’s.

Women’s Cross Country Places 17th At NCAA Regional

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s cross country team turned in a 17th place finish of 32 teams at the NCAA Central Region Meet Saturday morning on the campus of Carleton College.
