Women’s Basketball Remains Undefeated, Defeats Buena Vista 83-71

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Buena Vista University Saturday afternoon by a score of 83-71 to remain undefeated and move to 5-0 overall on the season.

Men’s Basketball Travels To Simpson Saturday

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set for its second straight non-conference road game to start the 2016-17 season as it faces Simpson College at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Gusties enter the game 0-1 after an 81-60 loss at Buena Vista last Friday, while the Storm are 2-1 overall after most recently losing 67-59 to Waldorf on Monday. Simpson started the season with wins over Monmouth (75-65) and Augsburg (95-71).

Women’s Basketball Set To Host Buena Vista

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team hosts Buena Vista University for a non-conference matchup Saturday afternoon at Gus Young Court. The 4-0 Gusties are set to tip off against the 2-2 Beavers at 1 p.m.

Power Play Goal Lifts Women’s Hockey Past Yellowjackets

The Gustavus women's hockey team earned its second shutout of the season as Rachel Skoglund's (Jr., Forest Lake, Minn.) game-winning power play goal was enough for the Gusties to escape with a 1-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Miller Sets Program Record As Women’s Basketball Tops UW-La Crosse, 67-47

The Gustavus women's basketball team remains undefeated as Mikayla Miller (Jr., Goodhue, Minn.) tallied a program-record 34 points to lead the Gusties to a 67-47 victory at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Tuesday evening.

Theiler, Decker Named MIAC Football All-Conference, Seven Others Make Second Team

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its 2016 Football Postseason Awards Tuesday and Gustavus is well represented with two student-athletes on the First Team, seven on the Second Team, and four honorable mentions.

Tanner Sonnek Named Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete Of The Week

Swimmer Tanner Sonnek had an outstanding performance to lead his team to victory at the Gusties' home Grace Goblirsch Invitational and earn MIAC Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete-of-the-Week honors. Sonnek won both of his individual events, racing to victory in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.75 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:01.56. His two first-place finishes helped Gustavus rack up 1,321 total points to win by a wide margin. This season, Sonnek ranks first in the MIAC in the 200-breast by more than four seconds with his season-best time of 2:09.69, and his 500-free time from Saturday is the ninth-fasted in the MIAC this season.

Women’s Hockey Hosts Yellowjackets

The Gustavus women’s hockey team hosts the University of Wisconsin-Superior Tuesday evening for a non-conference weekday matchup.

Men’s Hockey Edged By No. 10 Augsburg, 2-1

On a day full of celebrations, from the life of legendary coach Don Roberts to 75 seasons of Gustavus hockey, the Gusties came up just short in a 2-1 loss to No. 10-ranked Augsburg on Saturday evening. The defeat drops to the Gusties to 1-6-1 overall and 0-4 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, but takes nothing away from an amazing day full of amazing stories shard by Gustavus hockey alumni and friends.
