Volleyball Wins Two, Finishes 3-1 at Loras College Invite
The Gustavus volleyball team defeated Wartburg College and Loras College Saturday at the Loras College Invitational. The Gusties finished with a 3-1 record during the tournament and move to 7-2 overall.

The Gustavus football team battled the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Saturday afternoon at Hollingsworth Field for the 2016 home opener. The Gusties defeated UW-River Falls by a final score of 24-21.

The Gustavus volleyball team split the opening day at the Loras College Invitational Friday in Dubuque, Iowa. The Gusties (5-2, 0-0 MIAC) began the day falling to Cornell College 2-3 but then defeated No. 13 ranked Carthage College 3-2.

The Gustavus women's soccer team dominated Crown College Friday, earning their fourth consecutive shutout with an 8-0 victory.
Football Hosts UW-River Falls Saturday In Home Opener
The Gustavus Adolphus College football team returns home to St. Peter on Saturday for a 1 p.m. matchup against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The Gusties enter the game with a 1-0 overall record after defeating Westminster College 35-6 last Saturday in Fulton, Mo., while the Falcons are 0-1 after a 35-20 loss at Coe College.

Thomas Knobbe Named MIAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete Of The Week
The Gustavus men's cross country team and senior star Thomas Knobbe (Sr., Decorah, Iowa) both started the 2016 season in style at the Crown Invite. Knobbe was the top Division III runner with a time of 26:46, and he finished second overall in the 80-runner field. The Gusties had similar success, finishing second in the five-team field. Both Knobbe and his team were second only to the University of Minnesota-Duluth, a Division II opponent. For his performance, Knobbe was named MIAC Men's Cross Country Athlete-of-the-Week.
