The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s golf team shot a 302 on the final day of the Camp Lejeune Invite being played at Paradise Point Golf Course, the second lowest score of the day for all competing teams.
“Overall we had a good showing this weekend,” said Coach Scott Moe. “It was a great event and Camp LeJeuene did an amazing job as hosts. The weather was very wet the first two days, and they did a great job getting the course ready. Our ball striking was very encouraging, and our guys battled hard to the end.
We had a rough start today, with extremely windy conditions, but fought for every shot,” Moe continued. “Krasaway’s 72 today was spectacular, and he and Brandt finished top-10 individually with a 219 total and Savini was just one back at 220. We’re looking forward to getting back to some regional competition to try and put us in position for a spot in the NCAA Tournament. We need to play well against some strong, familiar opponents, and I know we are ready.”
Individual Scores
Andrew Krasaway (Sr., Hermantown, Minn.) – 72
Andrew Brandt (Sr., Medina, Minn.) – 75

The Gusties compete next on Saturday and Sunday at the Augsburg Invitational in Becker, Minn.

Congratulations to the whole Gusties Golf Team. We are the grandparents of Andrew Krasaway. We have watched him through the years to grow up to be such a fine young man. Hopefully he (and the rest of the team) will continue to play golf throughout the rest of their lives.
Thanks again…
