Men’s Basketball Hosts No. 4 St. Thomas Wednesday Posted on January 5th, 2016 by

ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s basketball team is looking to rebound Wednesday against St. Thomas after an 82-74 setback against Concordia on Saturday. The Gusties enter the matchup with a 4-6 overall record and 1-4 mark in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the No. 4-ranked Tommies are 8-1 overall and 3-1 in the league. Gustavus hopes to avenge a season-ending loss to the Tommies last season. The Gusties and Tommies battled into overtime in the MIAC Semifinals on Feb. 27 in St. Paul, but it was UST that came out on top 83-79 and went on to win the MIAC Playoff Championship 66-63 over Bethel.

Tipoff tomorrow is 7 p.m. and live online coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. The matchup will be aired live on 95.5 FM KCHK with the voice of the Golden Gusties Tom Wheeler on the call.
