The Gustavus Adolphus men's basketball team was able to snap its four-game losing streak and enter 2016 on a high note, as it defeated SUNY Oneonta 55-48 in its final game of the Puerto Rico Clasico on Tuesday afternoon at Coliseo Ruben Zayas Montanez. The win brings the Gusties to 4-5 overall, while the Red Dragons fall to 6-4.

Women’s Basketball Falls To Coast Guard Academy 62-51 To Conclude Puerto Rico Trip

Despite a season-high 33 points from its bench, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team was unable to earn a Puerto Rican sweep, as it fell 62-51 to Coast Guard Academy on Tuesday in the team's final game of its winter training trip. The loss snaps a seven-game win streak for the Gusties who are now 8-3 on the season, while the Bears improve to an even 5-5.

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's basketball team suffered a narrow 52-51 defeat to Vassar College on Monday afternoon in its first game of the Puerto Rico Clasico at Coliseo Ruben Zayas Montanez. The loss drops the Gusties to 3-5 on the season and the squad has lost its past two games by just a combined six points.

Defense Rules In Women’s Basketball’s 47-29 Victory Over Ramapo

Playing in its first game action since Dec. 15, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team earned a 47-29 victory over Ramapo College in a low-scoring affair on Monday morning in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The game served as the first of two competitions for Gustavus during its winter training trip, and with the win, allows it to improve to 8-2 overall. The 29 points allowed by the Black and Gold is also the lowest point total by an opponent since the Gusties defeated Macalester College 51-23 on Feb. 15, 2006.

Men’s Basketball In The Caribbean To Take Part In Puerto Rico Clasico

The Gustavus men’s basketball team has landed in the Caribbean and is set to take part in the Puerto Rico Clasico on Monday and Tuesday. The Gusties enter with the tournament with a 3-4 record and face Vassar College on Monday, followed by a matchup with SUNY Oneonta on Tuesday. Both games tip off at 4 p.m. CST.
