ST. PETER, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey player Allison Eder-Zdechlik (Stillwater, Minn.) was named to the D3hockey.com Women’s National Team of the Week that was announced Tuesday afternoon. Eder-Zdechlik was one of six Division III players from around the nation to be selected to the first team.

Eder-Zdechlik scored four of Gustavus’s six total goals in its weekend series with Augsburg this past Friday and Saturday, including a hat trick in Saturday’s 4-2 victory over the Auggies in St. Peter. She now leads the team and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) in points and goals and is tied for second in the nation in goals among players that have played only six games.

The No.9-ranked Gusties will continue their stretch against stiff competition this coming weekend, as they head to Middlebury, Vermont where they will participate in the Panther/Cardinal Classic at Middlebury College. On Saturday, the Gusties will take on defending national runner-up and current No. 2 Elmira College at 4 p.m., and Sunday, the Black and Gold will face defending national champion and current No. 1 Plattsburgh State University at 1 p.m.
