Football Suffers First Loss Of Season, 49-27 To Saint John’s

The No. 20-ranked Gustavus football team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday, falling 49-27 to No. 14/15-ranked Saint John’s. The Gusties drop to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Johnnies improve to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC.

Alhouni Places Fourth At ITA Small College Nationals

Gustavus Adolphus men's tennis player Mohaned Alhouni (So., Tripoli, Libya) took fourth place at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center, which concluded Saturday morning. Alhouni fell to No. 1 seed Skyler Butts of Claremont Mudd Scripps 6-1, 6-3 in the tournament's third place match.

Alhouni Falls In ITA Small College National Semifinals

Gustavus Adolphus men's tennis player Mohaned Alhouni (So., Tripoli, Libya) was defeated in the semifinals of the 2015 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center on Friday morning. Alhouni suffered a 6-4, 7-6 (5) loss to Noah Farrell of Middlebury College and will now play in Saturday's third place match against No. 1 seed Skyler Butts, which begins at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Men’s Soccer Battles Bethel On Saturday

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s soccer team will welcome Bethel University to the Gustie Soccer Field on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game. The Gusties bring a 5-4-3 overall and 0-4-3 MIAC record into the contest, while the Royals come to town at 4-7-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the MIAC.

Volleyball Hosts Quadrangular Saturday

The Gustavus volleyball team is set to host its second quadrangular of the season on Saturday. Teams participating this weekend include the Gusties, Simpson College, Loras College and Hamline University.

Women’s Soccer Hosts Bethel On Saturday

The Gustavus women’s soccer team is set to host Bethel University at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gustie Soccer Field. The Gusties enter the match with an 8-4-1 overall record and on top of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings with 18 points and a 6-1-0 record. The Royals are 3-10 overall and 0-7 in the MIAC.

Cross Country To Compete In Drews/Neubauer Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Ettrick, Wisconsin on Saturday to compete in the Drews/Neubauer Invitational that will be held at the Ettrick Golf Club. The men's 8k race will be held at 11:30 a.m. (changed from 10:30 a.m.), while the women's 6k will begin at 12:30 p.m. (changed from 11:30 a.m.).
