Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 10 In NSCAA North Region

The Gustavus women’s soccer team has garnered regional attention after starting its 2015 campaign with a 7-4-1 overall record. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its regional rankings Tuesday and the Gusties come in at No. 10 in the North Region.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Gustavus women’s soccer team has garnered regional attention after starting its 2015 campaign with a 7-4-1 overall record. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its regional rankings Tuesday and the Gusties come in at No. 10 in the North Region.

Augsburg College, who the Gusties defeated 2-1 last Saturday, is ranked No. 7 and is the only other member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference that is ranked. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Luther College and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh are the top three teams in the North Region, respectively. The Gusties lost to Luther 2-1 on Sept. 6.

Gustavus currently sits in first place in the MIAC standings with 15 points and a 5-1-0 record. The Gusties travel to the College of Saint Benedict for a 4 p.m. match today.
