SAINT PETER, MINN. – The Gustavus Adolphus baseball team could not make use of two extra days to recoup and ended up falling to the University of St. Thomas 3-2 in a game that was resumed from this past Wednesday. St. Thomas led 3-2 after five innings in Wednesday’s contest, but the game was halted due to darkness and resumed this afternoon. Neither team scored in today’s final two innings, allowing the Tommies to come away with the doubleheader sweep and improve to 7-1 in the MIAC and 15-5 overall, while Gustavus falls to 2-4 in the MIAC and 6-13 overall.

Gustavus will be back in action on Monday afternoon when it hosts a non-conference doubleheader against Martin Luther College. Play will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Gustie Baseball Field.
