Women’s Hockey Falls To No. 6 and No. 7 In USCHO, D3Hockey Polls Posted on February 18th, 2015 by

SAINT PETER, MINN. – Following a series split with the University of St. Thomas this past weekend, the Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team fell to No. 6 and No. 7 in the USCHO and D3Hockey women’s national polls, respectively, each of which were released Monday. The Gusties had previously been ranked No. 5 in each.

Gustavus earned a 5-2 victory over the Tommies on Friday night in St. Paul, but had its 10-game win streak snapped when St. Thomas took home a 3-2 victory over the Gusties on Saturday at Don Roberts Ice Rink. However, with its win on Friday, Gustavus clinched the regular season MIAC Championship and home-ice advantage throughout the conference playoffs.

Adrian College overtook Gustavus in both polls, as the Bulldogs earned a 2-1 victory over Lake Forest College on Saturday to bring their record to 18-1-4 overall.
