ST. PETER, MINN. – Following a three week long break from game action, the Gustavus women’s hockey team will be back in action this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9 and 10, in a home-home series with two non-conference teams. Friday, No. 7 ranked Adrian College will come to town for a 5 p.m. matchup and Saturday, the Gusties will take on Lake Forest College at 2 p.m. Both games will be played at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Its game with Adrian will be the second in as many games that Gustavus will face the No. 7 team in the nation, as the Bulldogs bumped UW-Stevens Point, the Gusties’ last opponent, from No. 7 to No. 8 in the most recent USCHO rankings. Gustavus enters the weekend with a record of 8-1-2 overall, while Adrian will come to town at 9-0-2 and Lake Forest at 7-3-1.
