Men’s Soccer Ranked No. 25 In Final NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men’s National Poll Posted on December 12th, 2014 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s soccer team broke into the top 25 on the postseason NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men’s National Poll released Tuesday, Dec. 9. It is Gustavus’s first appearance on the NSCAA’s national rankings since Oct. 14 when it cracked the poll at No. 25.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team completed its 2014 campaign with an overall record of 16-5-1. The Gusties finished second in the conference standings after going 7-2-1 in MIAC play. Head Coach Mike Middleton’s squad defeated Carleton 1-0 and Saint John’s 2-0 en route to claiming the 2014 MIAC Playoff title and earning the MIAC’s automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Gustavus defeated Dominican University 1-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before seeing its season come to an end with a 2-0 loss to Loras College.
