Gymnastics Places 12 On WIAC Women’s Scholastic Honor Roll Posted on August 15th, 2014 by

Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its All-Academic Award winners and Scholastic Honor Roll recipients for the 2013-14 academic year on Thursday, Aug. 14.  The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team once again a strong showing on the WIAC Women’s Scholastic Honor Roll with 12 members of the team taking home the honor for their achievements in the classroom

During the 2013-14 academic year, nearly 50 percent of the 5,000 student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale) and were named to the Scholastic Honor Roll.  Individuals named to the Scholastic Honor Roll received a certificate, while institutions claiming All-Academic Awards collected a plaque.

Gustavus’s list of award winners included Kalyn Botzet (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.), Rachel Dargis (So., Bloomington, Minn.), Paige Dieleman (Sr., Washington, Iowa), Ashley Greeder (Sr., Mahtomedi, Minn.), Brittany Hancock (Sr., Anchorage, Alaska), Lauren Kershner (Marine, Ill.), Kaitlin Lang (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.), Jamie Niedermayer (Fy., New Prague, Minn.), Jessica Niedermayer (Fy., New Prague, Minn.), Jamie Ries (Sr., Monticello, Minn.), Hillary Sabourin (Jr., Gatineau, Quebec), and Rachel Thiner (So., Sioux Falls, S.D.).
