The Gustavus Adolphus men’s tennis team capped the weekend with a non-conference win over Kalamazoo College and a conference victory over Saint Mary’s University on Sunday afternoon.  Playing at the Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Center in Pleasant Valley, Wis., Gustavus swept doubles and took five points in singles to come away with an 8-1 win over Kalamazoo.  The Black and Gold then brought the weekend to a close with an 8-1 victory over Saint Mary’s after winning two of three doubles points and all six singles in a match held at the Winona Tennis Center in Winona, Minn.

With three wins this past weekend, Gustavus improves to 24-5 overall and 7-0 in the MIAC.  The Gusties have just one weekend of regular season matches remaining on their 2014 schedule.  Head Coach Tommy Valentini’s club will take Easter weekend off before taking on Carleton at noon on Saturday, April 26 and St. Thomas at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 27.
