The Gusties defeated Saint John’s by the score 65-64 in Collegeville, Minn., on Wednesday night to advance to Friday night’s semifinals.  Tied 64-64 with 2.3 seconds remaining, senior Jordan Dick pulled down an offensive rebound and was fouled on the put-back.  Dick made one of two free throws to lift his team to victory.

As the second seed in the playoff field, the Oles received a bye in the quarterfinals and enter Friday night’s contest after nearly a week of rest.  St. Olaf last played on Saturday, Feb. 22nd, defeating Bethel 62-40 in Arden Hills, Minn.
