St. Peter, Minn. – After spending the last two weeks at No. 9, the Gustavus women’s hockey team is ranked seventh in the latest USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Poll, which was released Monday. The Gusties split with MIAC co-leader St. Thomas – who is ranked ninth in this week’s poll – last weekend and hold an overall record of 15-6-2 overall and 13-3-0 in league play.
Overall, this is Gustavus’s fifth week ranking seventh this season. The Gusties are currently tied with UW-Superior, while St. Thomas, who ranked eighth last week, drops to No. 9.
Gustavus will be back in action this weekend when it takes on Bethel University in the final series of the regular season. The two teams will square off in Blaine, Minn., on Friday night before finishing the series on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter.
