Men’s Basketball Looks For Third Straight Win At Bethel Wednesday Posted on February 12th, 2014 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s basketball team will look to continue its strong play on Wednesday night when it travels to Arden Hills, Minn., for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) match up with Bethel University.  Wednesday’s opening tip is set for 7:30 p.m., at the Robertson Center.

The Gusties enter Wednesday with a record of 14-8 overall and 11-6 in the MIAC following back-to-back wins over Macalester (64-54) last Wednesday in St. Peter and Carleton (62-57) Saturday in Northfield.  In Saturday’s game, Gustavus jumped out to a 32-19 halftime lead and survived a Carleton 11-0 run to open the second half to hang on for the five-point victory.  The Royals come in with an overall record of 13-9 and an MIAC mark of 9-8 following a much-needed win over Hamline (75-68) on Saturday in St. Paul.  A 7-0 run midway through the first half proved to be the difference in the tightly-contested win.

Fans can follow all of the action on Wednesday by watching the live video/stats provided by the Bethel sports information department.  The Gusties will also be on the radio, as Tom Wheeler will be on hand for the live call, which can be found on FM 95.5 KCHK or on GameCentral.
