Women’s Hockey No. 7 In USCHO.com Poll For Third Straight Week

St. Peter, Minn. – For the third consecutive week, the Gustavus women’s hockey team is ranked seventh in the USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Poll.  The Gusties are coming off a sweep over Saint Mary’s, defeating the Cardinals 4-3 in Winona on Friday night and 5-0 in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon.  With the two wins, Gustavus is now 12-3-2 overall and 10-0-0 in the MIAC.

Each of the top nine spots in the poll remained the same, led by Plattsburgh State, who is still unbeaten (16-0-1) at No. 1.  The lone change came at No. 10, as Adrian replaced Utica.  Gustavus remains the lone member of the MIAC to be ranked in the top ten.

The Gusties will be back in action this weekend when they take on Saint Benedict in a two-game weekend series.  Gustavus will host Saint Ben’s on Friday night at 5:00 p.m., at Don Roberts Ice Rink before traveling to St. Cloud for the second game of the series on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
