St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team will take on Saint John’s University in the MIAC Playoff Championship set to take place on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the National Hockey Center. The No. 4 seed Gusties earned a trip to the title bout with a pair of one-goal victories over St. Olaf and St. Thomas last weekend. Gustavus first defeated No. 5 seed St. Olaf 3-2 in the opening round of the tournament on Friday night in St. Peter. The Gusties then traveled to Mendota Heights were they took down the Co-MIAC Champion Tommies by the narrow margin of 1-0. Saint John’s earned a trip to the MIAC Championship after rolling past Concordia 5-1 on Saturday in St. Cloud.
