The Gustavus women’s hockey team is set to host Bethel University tonight at Don Roberts Ice Rink on White-Out For Marah Night. The Gusties (1-0-0) enter tonight’s contest ranked No. 3 in the latest USCHO.com poll, while the Royals (3-1-0) are ranked No. 10. Faceoff for tonight is set for 7:00 p.m. The two teams will travel to Blaine, Minn. tomorrow afternoon to cap off the two-game series at 2:00 p.m.
Tonight’s game is designated as a “White-Out” for junior women’s hockey goalie Marah Sobczak who was critically injured this summer in a head on collision near her home in Stillwater, Minn. Family, friends, and fans are encouraged to wear white to the game in honor and support of Marah and her family. Alpha Sigma Tau and the Gustavus women’s hockey team will be selling “White-Out For Marah” t-shirts to help raise money for the Sobczak family.
