Men’s Soccer Moves Up To No. 22 In Most Recent NSCAA Top 25 Poll Posted on November 6th, 2012 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s soccer team moved up one spot in the most recent NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men’s Poll released Tuesday, Nov. 6.  With a record of 15-2-3 overall, the Gusties enter the NCAA Tournament ranked No. 22.

It is the second straight week that Gustavus has cracked the top 25 of the NSCAA poll.  The Gusties moved up one place after defeating St. Thomas and Carleton in the MIAC Playoffs last week.  The Black and Gold defeated St. Thomas 1-0 in the semifinals before tying with Carleton 0-0 in the championship and advancing on penalty kicks 7-6 in seven rounds.

Head Coach Mike Middleton’s squad will take on UW-Platteville in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Bell Field on the campus of Carleton College.
