Men’s Golfer Tyler McMorrow Named NGCA All-Region Posted on May 16th, 2012 by

Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida – Gustavus Adolphus sophomore golfer Tyler McMorrow (St. Cloud, Minn.) has been named a Division III PING All-Region honoree by the Golf Coaches Association of America (NGCA).  Players across six regions – Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Great Lakes, Central and West – earned all-region honors for 2012.

McMorrow is one of six players from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to earn All-Central Region distinction.  He joins fellow conference golfers Pat Dietz and Coy Papachek of Concordia, Dennis Granath and Casey Vangsness of Saint John’s, and Toby Robinson of Bethel.

Heading into the NCAA Championships currently taking place at the Mission Inn Resort & Club, McMorrow leads the Gusties with a 75.0 (+3) strokes per round average.  This season, he has recorded four top-five finishes with his top marks coming at the Saint John’s Spring Invitational and Bobby Krig Invitational.  He placed second at the Saint John’s Invite with a two-round total 139 (-3) and third at the Bobby Krig with a three-round total 217 (+5).
