The Gustavus women’s tennis team was back on the road for a pair of dual matches against Drake University and the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday, March 10th in Des Moines, Iowa. The Gusties dropped their morning match 7-0 to Drake before bouncing back with a 7-0 sweep of UNO later in the afternoon.
“Drake is an awesome team and I’m happy the way we went out and competed against them,” said Head Coach Jon Carlson. “ We came out later in the day and bounced back with a good win against UNO. All in all, it was good to get back and compete this weekend.”
Gustavus is now 6-2 overall. The Gusties will continue in non-conference play next Saturday, March 17th with a pair of non-conference matches against Minnesota State University, Mankato at 8:00 a.m. and Upper Iowa University at 5:00 p.m.
