Second Place Men’s Basketball Welcomes MIAC Leader St. Thomas On Saturday

St. Thomas and Gustavus are meeting as No. 1 and No. 2 in the conference for the first time since Dec. 7, 2005.

The second place Gustavus men’s basketball team will host MIAC leader St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon at Gus Young Court.  Tip-off between the first and second place squads is set for 3:00 p.m.

Gustavus enters Saturday’s contest at 12-5 overall and 9-3 in the MIAC.  The Gusties are most recently coming off a 54-40 win over Carleton on Wednesday night in Northfield, Minn.  St. Thomas enters the game with a 13-4 overall mark and a 10-2 record within league play.  The Tommies defeated the Gusties 79-61 earlier this season in St. Paul.
