Jackson Zoellner
Gustavus Adolphus junior midfielder Jackson Zoellner (Sioux Falls, S.D.) has been named one of two players to watch in Division III this weekend. Zoellner and St. Lawrence’s Sam DeMello were added to the watch list by NCAA.com on Oct. 6.
Zoellner, a product of Lincoln High School, currently leads the team with seven assists. He has added three goals for a total of 13 points thus far. The junior has started at the midfield in all 12 Gustavus matches this season, recording 17 shots for a .176 shooting percentage.
Zoellner and the rest of the Gustavus men’s soccer team will travel to Arden Hills, Minn. on Saturday, Oct. 8 to take on Bethel University at 1:00 p.m. The No. 19 Gusties enter the match in a tie for second place in the MIAC standings at 10-1-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the MIAC.
