Softball Caps Regular Season With 7-1, 1-0 Sweep Over Saint Benedict On Senior Day

The Gustavus softball team brought the regular season to a close with a 7-1, 1-0 sweep over Saint Benedict on Wednesday in St. Peter. Gustavus finishes the regular season with an overall record of 25-12-1 and a MIAC mark of 18-3-1. The #2 seed Gusties will face Saint Mary's in the first round of the MIAC Playoffs at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6 in Arden Hills.

Helland, Secor, Roelofs, Stenoien, And Flotterud Set To Represent Track & Field At MIAC Multi’s

Janey Helland, Laura Secor and Erica Roelofs of the Gustavus women's track and field team, and Carl Stenoien and Matt Flotterud of the men's track and field team are set to compete in the heptathlon and decathlon competitions at the MIAC Mulit's on May 5-6 in Northfield, Minn.

Kate Rentschler And Alex Kolquist Named April Student-Athletes Of The Month

A pair of sophomores have been named Gustavus-Student Athletes of the Month for April by the Gustavus Sports Information Department. Softball player Kate Rentschler and golfer Alex Kolquist earned the distinction for their outstanding efforts over the month.

Women’s Tennis Defeats St. Olaf 9-0, Secures 20th Straight MIAC Title

The Gustavus women's tennis team brought the regular season to a close with a 9-0 win over St. Olaf on Tuesday afternoon in St. Peter. With the victory, Gustavus locks up its 20th straight MIAC regular season title, improving to 17-9 overall and 10-0 in the MIAC.

Men’s Golf Selected To Compete In NCAA Championships

The NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships committee announced its 2011 National Championships field on Monday afternoon and the Gustavus men's golf team received an at-large bid to participate in the championships, which will take place May 10-13 at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Women’s Golf Wins Weather Shortened UW-Eau Claire Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team wrapped up its 2011 spring regular season by winning the UW-Eau Claire Invitational, which was played at Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wis. The Gusties posted an 18-hole total of 334 to finish ahead of host UW-Eau Claire (336) by two shots. Individually, Gustavus was led by junior Ann Jackson who finished in a tie for fourth with a score of 82.

The Gustavus softball team came back to win game two and salvage a split against Saint Mary's on Monday afternoon in St. Peter. The Cardinals took game one 4-1 and Gustavus came out victorious 5-0 in game two. Gustavus moves to 23-12-1 overall and 16-3-1 in the MIAC, while Saint Mary’s moves to 20-14 overall and 13-7 in the MIAC.

Volleyball Team To Host Grass Volleyball Tourney

The Gustavus volleyball team will host the First Annual Grass Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, June 11 on the Gustavus Intramural Fields. Funds raised from the tournament will be used to support the volleyball program. Prizes will be awarded to the top team in each division.

Women’s Tennis Closes Weekend With 8-1 Win Over St. Thomas, 9-0 Win Over Macalester

The Gustavus women’s tennis team brought the weekend to a close with a pair of conference victories over St. Thomas and Macalester on Sunday, May 1. The Gusties got the day started with an 8-1 win over St. Thomas at the White Bear Lake Racquet Club in the morning, then traveled to St. Paul where they defeated Macalester 9-0 in the evening. The Gusties went 3-0 over the weekend, improving to 16-9 overall and 9-0 in the MIAC.
