Last week, Truebenbach recorded two complete-game victories over MIAC opponents St. Olaf and Carleton.
Truebenbach notched her third shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over St. Olaf on Monday, April 11, not allowing a run and giving up five hits in the contest. She struck out four batters and walked just one.
Against Carleton on Wednesday, April 13, the Maple River, Minn. native went all seven innings, giving up one run on four hits, as the Gusties cruised to an 8-1 win. Truebenbach struck out a season-high 11 batters with no walks in the contest.
Truebenbach, who is now 5-2 on the year, has an ERA of 4.07 this season. Her opponents hit just .183 (9-49) against her last week, as she registered an outstanding 15-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio. Within conference play, Truebenbach carries an ERA of 1.52 while opponents are hitting .247 against her.
The Gustavus softball team is currently unbeaten in conference play with a record of 9-0-1. The Gusties are riding an eight-game winning streak into Tuesday’s twin bill against Saint Mary’s beginning at 4:00 p.m. in St. Peter.
