The Gustavus women’s tennis team made it a perfect 3-0 weekend by defeating St. Catherine 9-0 on Sunday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties improve to 13-9 overall and 6-0 in the MIAC with the win. St. Catherine falls to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in the MIAC. The Gusties swept both the singles and doubles competition in the match. Sam Frank recorded her 20th win of the season by topping Lauren Beadnell in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 at #1 singles. It is Frank’s first 20-win season since her first collegiate year.
The Gusties will take a weekend off before traveling to Northfield, Minn. to take on the #20-ranked Carleton Knights on Saturday, April 30 at 3:00 p.m . Carleton is currently unbeaten in conference play with a 7-0 record.
