Men’s Hockey Bounces Back With 3-1 Win At Concordia

The Gustavus men's hockey team was able to get a split with Concordia after defeating the Cobbers 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn. Ross Ring-Jarvi tallied the game-winning goal and an assist in the game to lead the Gusties. Gustavus improves to 6-4-2 in the MIAC and 12-7-2 overall.

Women’s Basketball Hangs On For 71-61 Win Over Carleton

The Gustavus women’s basketball team defeated Carleton by the score of 71-61 on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. With the victory, Gustavus improves to 13-8 overall and 12-6 in the MIAC, while Carleton falls to 5-15 overall and 4-13 in the MIAC.

Gymnastics Team Posts Season High Score At Gershon Invitational

The Gustavus gymnastics team posted a season high team score of 178.075 at the Gershon Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse on Friday evening. Individually, Danielle Thibodeau finished fourth in the all-around with a career high score of 36.450.

Men’s Hockey Stumbles On The Road With 9-1 Loss To Concordia

The Gustavus men's hockey team stumbled on the road with a 9-1 loss to Concordia on Friday night in Moorhead, Minn. The Cobbers were on the board early and often, scoring four unanswered goals to start the game, then responding to a Gustavus goal with five more consecutive goals. Gustavus falls to 11-7-2 overall and 5-4-2 in the MIAC with the loss.

Allie Schwab Scores Twice To Lead Women’s Hockey Past Concordia 4-2

The Gustavus women's hockey team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and it looked like they might run away from Concordia on Friday night, but the Cobbers battled back and cut the lead to 3-2 before Allie Schwab's empty net goal late in the third period sealed the win for the Gusties. The same two teams will face-off again on Saturday afternoon at 2 pm in St. Peter.

Men’s Hockey Hits The Road For Weekend Series At Concordia

The Gustavus men's hockey team will travel to Moorhead, Minn. to take on the Cobbers on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-5.

Geske Named To Capital One Academic All-District Team

Gustavus Adolphus junior women’s basketball player Molly Geske was named to the 2010-11 Capital One Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team on Thursday.

Kammerer, Lundquist, and Jonker Highlight Football Post-Season Honors

The Gustavus football team brought the 2010 season to a close with its annual banquet on Sunday, Jan. 9th in Alumni Hall. Seniors Dustin Kammerer, Brandon Jonker, and Zach Lundquist highlighted the event keynote awards section.

Gretchen Koehler And Evie Erdman Honored At Minnesota Girls and Women In Sports Day

Former Gustavus volleyball coach Gretchen Koehler and former Gustavus gymnast and long-time gymnastics official Evie Erdman were presented the Special Merit Award at the Minnesota Girls and Women in Sports Day, which was held on Tuesday, February 1 at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. The event is sponsored by the Minnesota Coalition of Women in Athletic Leadership.

Women’s Basketball Prevails 59-53 Over Hamline

The Gustavus women's basketball team prevailed 59-53 over a hot shooting Hamline squad on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. Molly Geske led the Gusties in scoring with 17 points, while Hamline's Kara Poirier scored a game-high 26 points. With the victory, Gustavus improves to 11-6 in the MIAC and 12-8 overall. Hamline falls to 7-10 in the MIAC and 8-12 overall.
