Men’s Cross Country Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Honor

The Gustavus men’s cross country team was recognized this week by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as an All-Academic team.

The Gustavus men’s cross country team was recognized this week by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic team.

The men’s cross country team, which finished eighth at the MIAC championships and 18th at the NCAA Central Region meet, compiled a team grade point average of 3.24.

In order to qualify for All-Academic team recognition, the team must have a grade point average of 3.10 or better and have five runners compete at the NCAA regional championship.

The individuals competing for the Gusties at the NCAA Region meet whose grade point averages were used to earn the All-Academic Team honors were Anders Bowman, Mark Bartley, Nick Ross, Chad Claybaugh, Preston Tomlinson, Jeremy Kuhn, and Kurt Prieve.
