For the second night in a row, the Gustavus men’s hockey team found itself having to play from behind, this time against of UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wis. on Saturday night.  The Blue Devils got on the board early and often with five unanswered goals within the first 34:00 minutes of the game.  UW-Stout would hold on for a 6-1 victory, improving to 10-5-0 on the season.  Gustavus, suffering its second straight loss, falls to 9-5-1 overall.

The Gusties were down 2-0 after the first period for the second straight night.  David Larson scored the opening goal (1-0) in the sixth minute and Robb Haider added the second goal (2-0) with just four seconds left in the period.

Dane Erickson got Gustavus on the board with less than a minute to play in the period on assists from Ryan Johnson and Andrew Peterson.  It was Erickson’s fifth goal of the season.
