Football Set To Take On Augsburg In Final Road Test

The Gustavus football team will travel to Minneapolis to take on the Auggies of Augsburg College on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1:00 p.m. Gustavus enters the game with an overall record of 3-5 and a MIAC record of 2-4, while Augsburg enters with an overall record of 3-5 and a MIAC record of 1-5.

Men’s Basketball Falls To Augustana 101-74 In Exhibition Opener

The Gustavus men's basketball team traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Monday night to face Augustana College in an exhibition contest to open the 2010-11 season. The Vikings shot an impressive 62.3 percent from the field and claimed a convincing 101-74 win over the Gusties. Seth Anderson and Ben Biewen led Gustavus in scoring with 12 points each.

Men’s Hockey Moves To 2-0 With 2-1 Win Over Saint Mary’s

Ryan Johnson's power play goal at 2:10 of the third period allowed the Gustavus men's hockey team to slip past Saint Mary's University 2-1 in the second game of the MIAC Showcase played at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, Minn. Johnson, a freshman forward from Blaine, gave the Gusties a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the first period before scoring the gamewinner in the third period. Tyler Venne picked up the win in the nets for Gustavus.

Ahrendt Shines, But Volleyball Drops Season Finale To Saint Mary’s 3-1

The Gustavus volleyball team saw its 2010 season come to a close with a 3-1 loss to Saint Mary's in Winona on Saturday afternoon. The set scores were 25-18, 13-25, 24-26, 20-25. Angela Ahrendt set a school record for attack percentage in a four-set match at .694 with 14 kills in 19 attempts and 1 error.

Men’s Cross Country Finishes Eighth At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's cross country team finished eighth at the MIAC Championships, which were held at the Como Park Golf Course on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties, who totalled 213 points, were led by Anders Bowman who finished in 20th place (26:52.0).

Strong Second Half Propels St. Thomas To 43-6 Victory Over Gustavus

The Gustavus football team fell by the score of 43-6 to No. 4 St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. After a tightly-contested first half, St. Thomas scored 29 unanswered points in the second half to hand Gustavus its fifth loss of the year. The Gusties are now 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the MIAC.

Kate Eggers Leads Women’s Cross Country To Fourth Place At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women's cross country finished fourth in a hotly contested battle for the top five spots at the MIAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul. Kate Eggers was the top Gustavus finisher as she crossed the finish line in seventh place with a time of 22:56.2.

Freshman Zach May Scores Gamewinner as Men’s Hockey Tops Augsburg 2-1

Freshman Zach May made his first game as a Gustavus hockey player one to remember as he scored the gamewinner at the 1:23 mark of the third period as the Gusties slipped past Augsburg 2-1 in the season opener in the MIAC Showcase. The game was played at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, Minn.
