Men’s Cross Country Finishes Eighth At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men’s cross country team finished eighth at the MIAC Championships, which were held at the Como Park Golf Course on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties, who totalled 213 points, were led by Anders Bowman who finished in 20th place (26:52.0).

The Gustavus men’s cross country team finished eighth at the MIAC Championships, which were held at the Como Park Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.  Hamline won the team title with 31 points.  The Gusties, who totalled 213 points, were led by Anders Bowman who finished in 20th place (26:52.0).

Joining Bowman in the top seven were Mark Bartley (32nd, 27:07.8), Carson Smith (51st, 28:01.4), Jeremy Kuhn (53rd, 28:04.7), Preston Tomlinson (57th, 28:07.7), Chad Claybaugh (63rd, 28:22.9), and Adam Lund (65th, 28:26.0).

The Gusties will take part in the NCAA Central Region Meet on Saturday, Nov. 20.  The meet will be hosted by Wartburg College and held in Waverly, Iowa.
