Men’s Soccer Posts Convincing 5-1 Win At Bethany Lutheran

The Gustavus men's soccer team allowed a penalty kick goal in the first minute of the match, but responded by putting 30 shots on net the rest of the match while scoring five consecutive goals on its way to a 5-1 win over Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato on Tuesday night.

Jade Kotila Named MIAC Defensive Player Of The Week

Gustavus Adolpus senior linebacker Jade Kotila (Maple Lake, Minn.) was named MIAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Gustavus's 29-0 victory over Northwestern last Saturday.

Women’s Golf Finishes Fifth At O’Brien National Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s golf team shot a 325 in day two for a two-day total 652 (+76) to finish in fifth place at the O’Brien National Invitational held at the Warren Golf Course on the campus of the University of Notre Dame Saturday and Sunday in South Bend, Indiana. Gustavus senior captain Katie Schenfeld earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after finishing in a three-way tie for fifth place with a score of 80-77-157 (+13).

Women’s Golf In Fifth Place Following Day One At O’Brien National Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team is currently in fifth place with a team score 327 after the opening day of competition at the O'Brien National Invitational being held at the Warren Golf Course on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Methodist University leads after shooting a 316, while DePauw University is in second place with a 317, followed by UW-Eau Claire in third place with a 318. Gustavus golfers Taylor Drenttel and Katie Schenfeld currently sit in 10th (37-42-79) and 12th (39-41-80), respectively. St. Mary's College golfer Marin Beagley is in the lead after shooting a 33-41-74 (+2).

Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth At Saint John’s Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team turned in a fifth place performance after shooting a two-day total 611 (318-293) at the Saint John's Fall Invitational held Saturday at the Greystone Golf Course in Sauk Centre, Minn. and Sunday at the Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn. Freshman Tyler McMorrow turned in the top Gustavus performance with a seventh place finish (4-way tie) after shooting a 36-hole 150 (81-69).

Late Goal Allows Concordia To Defeat Men’s Soccer 2-1

The Gustavus men's soccer performed well according to Head Coach Mike Middleton, but the team continues to struggle to score goals and the result was a disappointing 2-1 loss to Concordia in Moorhead on Saturday. Chris Adams scored the lone goal for Gustavus in the 54th minute.

Men’s Cross Country Places Seventh at St. Olaf Invite

Anders Bowman posted a season best 8,000 meter time of 26:42 and finished ninth individually to help the Gustavus men's cross country team finish seventh out of 13 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday.

Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third At St. Olaf Invitational

The Gustavus women's cross country team continued to run at the front of the pack and posted a third place finish in a strong field of 14 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield on Saturday. The Gusties, who scored 85 points, finished behind first place Minnesota-Duluth with 27 points, and second place St. Olaf with 48.

Anderson Scores Early, But Women’s Soccer Falls To Cobbers 2-1

The Gustavus women’s soccer team jumped to a 1-0 lead over defending MIAC champion Concordia College in the first half and seemed poised for an upset, but the Cobbers rallied for two goals in the second half to claim a 2-1 victory in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday afternoon.

Three Second Half TDs Propel Football Team To 29-0 Win Over Northwestern

The Gustavus offense amassed 434 yards of total offense, while the defense limited the Northwestern offense to 149 yards and the result was a 29-0 win by the Gusties over the Eagles at Hollingsworth Field on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. Senior running back Lucas Armstrong sparked the Gustavus running game with a career-high 23 carries for 180 yards and one touchdown, while senior linebacker Jade Kotila anchored the defense with 10 assisted tackles and two interceptions.
