Women’s Cross Country Finishes 12th Out Of 32 At Griak Invitational

The Gustavus women’s cross country team continued its strong fall performances with a 12th place finish out of the 32 teams at the very competitive Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.

The Gustavus women’s cross country team continued its strong fall performances with a 12th place finish out of the 32 teams at the very competitive Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.  The Gusties were led by Kate Eggers who finished 22nd individually with a time of 23:34.9.

Joining Eggers in the team total for Gustavus were Kim Rostvold (35th – 23:53.6), Liz Hauer (56th – 24:21.1), Laura Secor (94th – 25:10.9), Danielle Burgmeier (108th – 25:26.0), Megan Lundgren (114th – 25:32.4), and Meredith Bache-Wig (128th – 25:58.3).

The Gusties finished with a team score of 315.  The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh finished first with a score of 65.  Gustavus finished fourth out of seven MIAC teams in the field placing behind Carleton (8th – 252), St. Thomas (10th – 270), and Bethel (11th – 289) and ahead of Concordia-Moorhead (16th – 444), Hamline (17th – 476), and Macalester (18th – 551).
