The Gustavus men’s cross country team ran in a strong field at the Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota and posted a solid 12th place finish out of 30 teams. The Gusties were paced by Nick Ross who finished 35th with a time of 26:25.5.
The top seven finishers for Gustavus included Ross, Anders Bowman (71st – 27:31), Mark Bartley (87th – 27:47), Jeremy Kuhn (102nd – 28:04), Adam Lund (114th – 28:22.6), Chad Claybaugh (121st – 28:29.4), and Eric Jorgenson (128th – 28:46.9).
The Gusties finished with a team score of 409 (a tie for 12th place with Lawrence University). The University of Wisconsin-Platteville finished first with a score of 47. Gustavus finished second out of six MIAC teams in the field placing behind Hamline (6th – 199) and ahead of Carleton (14th – 416), Bethel (15th – 425), Concordia-Moorhead (18th – 473) and Macalester (24th – 657).
