Gustavus Adolphus sophomore Amrik Donkena (Rochester, Minn.) has been selected to play in the singles draw at the 2010 NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championships.  Donkena will compete against a field of 32 competitors at the individual championships.  He is the only player from the MIAC to be selected to compete in the singles competition.  The singles championships will be hosted by Oberlin College, May 28-30 in Oberlin, Ohio.

Donkena enters the NCAA Singles Championship as the 11th ranked player in the Central Region.  He has compiled a record of 23-7 overall at the #1 position for the Gusties this season and he enters the tournament on a six-match win streak. Donkena has registered a 19-5 mark (9-0 in the MIAC) against Division III opponents this season.
