Sierra Krebsbach selected to compete in the singles competition at the NCAA Championships

Gustavus Adolphus senior women’s tennis player Sierra Krebsbach (North Oaks, Minn.) has been selected to play in the singles draw at the 2010 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships.  Krebsbach will compete against a field of 32 competitors at the individual championships.  Carleton’s Kathryn Schmidt is the only other player from the MIAC to be selected to compete in the singles competition.  The singles championships will be hosted by the University of Mary Washington, May 28-30, at the Battleground Tennis Complex in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Krebsbach enters the NCAA Women’s Tennis Midwest Regional, held this weekend at Gustavus Adolphus College, the fifth ranked player in singles in the Central Region.  She currently has an overall record of 15-9 entering the NCAA Championships.

The Gustavus women’s tennis team will face the winner of St. Norbert and Luther on Friday, May 14, at 12:00pm at the Brown Outdoor Tennis Complex in St. Peter, Minn.
