Drenttel and Schenfeld Named Co-MIAC Golfers of the Week

Gustavus golfers Taylor Drenttel and Katie Schenfeld have been named Co-Golfers of the Week by the MIAC women’s golf coaches. Drenttel and Schenfeld helped the Gusties finish first at the Augustana Spring Invitational last weekend.

Gustavus golfers Taylor Drenttel and Katie Schenfeld have been named Co-Golfers of the Week by the MIAC women’s golf coaches.  Drenttel and Schenfeld helped the Gusties finish first at the Augustana Spring Invitational last weekend.

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Taylor Drenttel (Eagan, Minn.) finished in a three-way tie for first place with a total of 149 (+5) at the Augustana Spring Invitational played at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. last weekend. Drenttel’s individual rounds of 74 and 75 are the best two 18 hole rounds of her collegiate career and her 36-hole total of 149 is the finest 36-hole total in her career. Gustavus won the 13-team invite with a 36-hole total of a 610. The Gusties’ 36-hole total is the second best in program history and was achieved in the team’s first tournament of the spring season.

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Katie Schenfeld (Indianola, Iowa) finished in a three-way tie for first place with a total of 149 (+5) at the Augustana Spring Invitational played at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. over the weekend. Schenfeld’s 18-hole first-day total of 73 is the lowest 18-hole round of her career and 149 is the lowest 36-hole total of her career. In the first tournament of the spring season, Gustavus won the 13-team invite with a 36-hole total of 610, the second lowest total in program history.
