The month of March came in like a lion for the Gustavus women’s tennis team, as the Gusties played a total of six matches in three different cities on Saturday.  At home in the Swanson Tennis Center, Gustavus posted a 3-0 record with three convincing 9-0 wins against conference opponents Bethel, Concordia, and Macalester.  The other half of the squad traveled to Bemidji, Minn. for a 10:00am match with Bemidji State University.  The Gusties won the match 8-1 and proceeded to travel north to Grand Forks, N.D. for matches with Minnesota State University-Moorhead and the University of North Dakota.  The Gusties defeated MSU-Moorhead 9-0, yet suffered a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Sioux.

The Gusties will have another busy Saturday on March 13, when they will take on UW-Whitewater, the University of Sioux Falls, and St. Catherine’s.  The UW-Whitewater match will begin at 9:00am and the Sioux Falls match is set for 5:00pm.  Both matches will be held in the Swanson Tennis Center.  The Gusties will play St. Kate’s in Lakeville, Minn. at 6:00pm.
