Max Hanson MIAC Track Athlete of the Week
Gustavus senior Max Hanson (Montrose, Minn./Buffalo) has been named MIAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Meet of the Hearts hosted by Carleton on Saturday in the Recreation Center in Northfield, Minn. Hanson took first place in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.68, beating out the second place finisher by 2.64 seconds. Hanson’s time is currently the top in the conference and provisionally qualifies him for the NCAA Championships.
The Gustavus men’s indoor track and field team will compete at the SJU/CSB Quad on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 11:00 am in Collegeville, Minn.
