Senior football player T.J. Ridley has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team for the second consecutive year. Ridley, an Edina, Minn. native, who has been a four-year regular for the Gusties, is a biology major with a 3.95 grade point average.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball coaches released their 2009 Post-Season Awards recently and honored two Gustavus volleyball players for their play this season. Junior Nicki Ainsworth (Eden Prairie, Minn) was named to the 18-member All-Conference team and senior Tara Kramer (Hayfield, Minn) was selected to the All-MIAC Volleyball Sportsmanship team.

Gustavus senior Skylar Davis (Palatine, Ill.) has been named the MIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his efforts in last weekends dual meets against MSU-Mankato and St. Cloud State University. Davis won a total of four races over the weekend, while finishing second in two events.
