The Gustavus men’s basketball team struggled in a 69-50 loss to the University of Hawaii-Hilo in Hilo on Wednesday night. The Gusties shot just 33.3 percent from the field (16-of-48) and committed 18 turnovers in their loss to the Vulcans. Gustavus entered the Hawaii trip on a five-game winning streak, but two losses in Hawaii has dropped the Gusties overall mark to 6-4. Ty Moore and Sam Paulson led Gustavus with six points each.
Gustavus will return to conference play on Monday, January 4 with a game at Macalester.
