Carrie Gundersen turned in the MIAC’s top times in the 500 and 1650 freestyle this past weekend.

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Carrie Gundersen (Minnetonka, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. Gundersen swam the MIAC’s fastest times this season in the 500 and 1650 freestyle at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invite held this past weekend at the University of Minnesota. She set the conference’s fastest time in the 500 freestyle by placing second with a time of 5:15.90. Gundersen also won the 1650 freestyle by over 30 seconds. Her time of 17:51.04 in the race is also the top time in the MIAC.
