The Gustavus women’s cross country team hosted its annual Alumni Meet on Saturday morning in the Arboretum on the west side of campus. Thirty-one runners participated in the 5,000 meter race including 25 members of the Gustavus team and six alumni. Laura Edlund, who graduated this past May and was a 2007 All-Conference performer, finished first with a time of 18:41. Brooke Beskau was the top Gustavus runner as she placed third with a time of 19:35.
The Gusties will open their regular season at the Grinnell College Invitational on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 am.
