Women’s Tennis Opens Spring Schedule With 9-0 Loss To BYU-Hawaii

The Gustavus women’s tennis team opened its spring season with a 9-0 loss to #1-ranked Division II Brigham Young University-Hawaii in Laie, Hawaii on Saturday, February 9. The 11th-ranked Gusties were unable to pick up a single set against the Seasiders, who have won 62 consecutive dual matches.

Sierra Krebsbach (So., North Oaks, Minn.) and Erica Dobson (Jr., Vadnais Heights, Minn.) had the strongest finishes in singles play, while Brittany Templin (Fy., Foley, Minn.) and Dobson turned in the best score in doubles matches.

The Gusties will continue their schedule with three dual matches on Saturday at the Swanson Tennis Center. Gustavus faces Concordia College at 9:30 a.m., Winona State University at 1:30 p.m., and Augustana at 6:30 p.m.
