Men’s Hockey Falls To UW-Stevens Point 2-1

The Gustavus men's hockey team jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Ben Ollila midway through the second period, but UW-Stevens Point countered with two goals in the next seven minutes and held on for a 2-1 non-conference win over the Gusties at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Friday night.

Men’s Soccer Player Mike Butterworth Named to NSCAA All-America Team

Gustavus Adolphus College senior forward Mike Butterworth (Katy, Texas) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America team. Butterworth, the 2007 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Player of the Year, was named a third team All-America honoree.

Men’s Basketball Defeats Univ. of Massachusetts at Boston 73-66, Extends Win Streak To Six Games

The Gustavus men's basketball team extended its current win streak to six games with a 73-66 win in Boston, Massachusetts against the University of Massachusetts at Boston. The Gusties used a 12-0 run over a four-minute stretch late in the game to turn a one-point deficit into an 11-point lead at 71-60 with 3:29 left in the contest. Trevor Wittwer led Gustavus with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Nordic Skiers Finish Strong In The Freestyle Course at U.S. Nationals

Freestyle races kicked off the opening day of the United States Cross Country Skiing Championships at the Michigan Tech Nordic Training Center in Houghton, Mich. on Tuesday. Kelly Chaudoin recorded the highest finish by a Gustie women's skier with a 71st place finish overall (eighth among Central College Ski Association skiers) in the 10K women's race, while Jens Brabbit paced the Gustavus men with a 124th place finish, which was 22nd among CCSA skiers.
